I'm amazed at children's ability to grasp language. They catch on to our rules and sometimes they over exaggerate them (e.g. I cutted my hair) and sometimes they overgeneralize a rule (e.g. Look at the gooses). Our language is so complex!
Anyway, Taylor made up her own contraction and uses it all the time. She says
"NO, I AM'NT."
I just think it's funny and wanted to share.

Happy Thanksgiving!
The top 5 things I'm grateful for this year are:
1. The Ensign. I love the Ensign. The Ensign is a church magazine that I subscribe to. I can't wait for it to come each month. I have to control myself to read it slow and steady during the month and I won't read November's issue a day before November 1st. I don't know why. The articles and talks give me such a boost.
2. President Gordon B. Hinckley. Think about his life. He has given his whole life to the gospel. And as for the twelve year he has been prophet, he has done extraordinary and marvelous things. I'm grateful for his service, his love, and his example.
3. I'm grateful that Taylor and McKay get along so well and love each other so much.
4. I'm grateful to be in the right place at the right time. We feel like the Lord has brought us to California and we are happy and grateful to be here.
5. I'm grateful that Maren was born to us. What a wonderfully sweet addition she has been to our home.
Happy Thanksgiving! What are you grateful for?

I hope you enjoyed reading those as much as I did! Some of their answers were really sweet, I only gave you the funny ones to munch on. Under activty day ideas, one girl wrote, learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, movies about the Bible, Jesus, and God, and learn about the Bible. I hope I can fulfill this young ladies expectations.
I am so excited to work with such a vibrant, smart, funny, and good group of little women. They will be a joy in my life.
The best part is at their age, you can do absolutely anything and they will be totally excited about it.
The biggest surprise to me was after our first meeting was through, they scattered throughout my house, found the toy room, and destroyed it. I forgot that they are still so young that they will want to play with toys! And there attention span isn't quite so big. Good thing we only meet for one hour. I'm thinking to keep my house from getting destroyed we should meet at the church.

Kindergarten Shots
Taylor knows what a shot is. She was not excited for today to come. She knew she was in for it. She kept saying, "But Mom, if they give me a shot I will cry".
And cry she did. Or was it a scream of shock and a sob, sob, sob...sob, sob, sob..sob, sob, sob? (she had to get 4 shots!)
After it was all over and she was calm and we left she told me, "Mom, I never, EVER want to get a shot again."
Here's what I have to say on the blog about what took place:
1) Taylor are sure SURE you never want to get a shot again? Because when you realize what an epidural means, you may change your mind.
2) She actually won't have to get immunizations again until she's about 11 years old. Hurray!
3) Taking your precious kids to get shots is harder on the moms.
