Diaper Box Events

Kids can create some interesting entertainment. We have a plethora of diaper boxes flowing in and out of our home. We occasionally do something with the boxes before recycling them. Here's one of the diaper-box-events:

Maren's Boyfriend, Peter

We watch this cute little guy on occasion and I think Peter and Maren are so cute together.

McKay in church

McKay has a difficult time in sacrament meeting. We have had a lot of family night chats on how to be reverent in church.

First of all, I don't think he knows what a whisper is. He talks way too loud.

Today in church the meeting went on forever! (Oh, but we did have the Merced Hansen's visiting and they shared their testimonies . What a great couple. They are in the Fresno Temple Presidency)
When the final speaker finished (about 15 minutes after the hour), McKay yelled, "He's done!". I was out in the foyer with Maren and I heard him! Embarrassment.

And the other day Sister Davis inquired, "How many children do you have again?".

"Three".


"Is that all? Why does it seem like you take a whole pew?!!"

Thanks. It's because they are all squirming around so much....and we DO take the whole pew.

I'll tell ya, going to church is a real challenge for us. But a challenge well worth it.

Finished my first quilt

My first quilt is my first quilt. It was a project..., or more like an experiment...you know, to see if I could do it. I am embarrassed to share it with you because some of you are amazing quilters (Rachelle, Aunt Stephanie, DeLane).

Confession: I didn't use a pattern. I made a LOT of mistakes. It's pretty pathetic. However, it is on our bed and we will use it for the time being.

But, guess what? I want to do it again! (Ok, but this time I want use a pattern and call on help from the pros.)

It is a great feeling to create something and know that you are the creator.

That's what I love about cooking.

And crocheting.

And painting.

And bearing and raising children.

And gardening/wood work(..in my future plans. I can imagine the good feelings.)

And now quilting.

some silly situations

#1: When my brother, Spencer, came to visit he wanted to play "superman" with McKay, but McKay has a serious drooling problem.Problem solved!
#2 Maren got stuck in grandma's small dog kennel. We weren't really paying attention to her until we heard her screaming because, well, she was stuck!

#3 We went to John's Incredible Pizza. This man is a total stranger. Maren kept walking right up to him with her arms up for him to hold her. She's my crazy third child that isn't shy, wonders off, and loves strange men. What am I to do?

This is my good friend Kellie, and her daughter Chloe (and Taylor, of course). They came with us to J.I.P. They moved away now and we are sad!
Taylor loved all the big rides.

McKay was into two things: riding the cars and eating ice cream. It was all business--no smiles.

4th of July Weekend

There was a lot going on. First of all, it was McKay's birthday. I think McKay was probably most excited about the cake! He insisted on Chocolate. He didn't care about a theme...just make it chocolate! My sis-in-law decorated this cutey. Thanks Suzy and Grandma!

Oh, it was my birthday, too. I'm 28 now! Where does the time go?

His favorite present by far is the Spider man bike.

We celebrated at Grandma B's.

Spencer, my brother, and his wife, Suzy came to visit from OH! They are so much fun.

So you think you can dance?

My cousin, AJ, got me into this show last season and I love it. I am having a hard time picking my favorites because they are all so talented, but these are my top three couples, no doubt about it.

Josh & Katee. I have loved ALL of their dance routines the most.

Twitchington. Love their facial expressions and personalities.

Mark & Chelsea. (OK, Mostly Chelsea). She's LDS and they both seem to have great technique.

Will and Jessica (mostly Will). Will is an amazing dancer. Jessica is cute, too.

Once I figure out how to download videos off of YouTube, maybe I'll show you my favorite dance numbers. Spencer couldn't figure out how to do it for me.

Spencer isn't into this show as much as I am because he can't stand Mary. I can't blame him. She can be so obnoxious.
