For a few weeks we had these beautiful florescent-green beetles in our backyard. I won't touch them, but Taylor sure would.
When I was a little girl, my brothers and I would catch beetles, tie strings to their legs, and fly them around. I think it's cruel, but Spencer let Taylor fly it on its "leash" for a few minutes and then I had to persuade Taylor to let it go.
We are so weird, I know.

I found a few bugs like that in my backyard too! thats the first time i've seen bugs like that. it was really weird.
It amazes me how un-scared your kids are of animals and bugs. I wish my kids were like that, but they don't like the wildlife! Not even Chandler!
