This is one of the better children's chapter books I have read. First of all, it takes place in the San Joaquin Valley, which is where I grew up. A very tender fairy-tale-ending story that has reminded me to appreciate the simple things in life that matter the most.

i'm adding it to my list of "to do" read books. i love having books to read. have you read "Ida B"--i have yet to find another children's chap. book to pass it on my favorites list.
