More Halloween Pics

This is Grandpa Drew's Ward Halloween Costume. Someone was offended that he came to the church dressed as the devil. Come on...it's Halloween! I drew the mustache and beard. I know, it looks good.

And we're ready to go trick-or-treating! Taylor is a "white butterfly", not to be called a fairy. McKay is a "vwagon". McKay had a blast. Taylor was a little leary of the scary costumes out there this year. We were following a little boy with a scary green Incredible Hulk mask. Whenever they crossed paths, Taylor would walk ten feet away from him or cling to my legs. Other than that, she had fun. Now I just have to figure out what I'm going to do with all this sugar!

Shaver Lake

We had a great day in the mountains on Saturday. There was a bit of haze because of all the Southern CA fires, but it was so beautiful and peaceful and fresh and crisp. There is nothing like the Sierras (maybe I'll name my next baby girl Sierra...hm). Shaver Lake is where Spencer had his boy scout adventures as a youth. We had a BBQ chicken luncheon and went on two hikes and played in the water. Daddy and McKay had fun skipping rocks. Fun family times.

Sucker

Maren has found her thumb! Yikes! This is my first baby to do this. I am not happy about it, but now that she has found her thumb, it's so easy. I don't have to keep popping the pacifier in.

A New Discovery

Taylor is allergic to CATS!

The snake...

You know how Taylor loves her critters. Aunt Rachelle loves snakes. Last year she let Taylor play with her orange king snake, Bear.

This year, Aunt Rachelle got a new snake, a red-tailed boa, I think. He weighs around eighteen pounds and eats a rat a week. Yum. Taylor enjoyed him, hands-on style. She even kissed him! McKay loved the snake too, but doesn't enjoy touching so much as screaming "snake!" and then running from the snake to the couch. Utah Trip

We took a fun trip to Utah just a week or two after moving in our CA home. Kelia is going into the MTC and we didn't want to miss her. She's going to Argentina, Cordoba(?). We took some fun family pics I wanted to share.

H.P. Slacker

This is embarrassing. I am half-way through with "Order of the Phoenix"(Harry Potter #5). I'm trying to finish so I can watch the movie. I keep getting distracted with other books. I just finished Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I thought it was really weird...and I liked it. I like her writing style. I'm anxious to get my hands on New Moon. I'm also reading a book for Madera 1st Ward book club.
J.K., I promise I won't let you down. Forgive me for all my neglegance. I am going to get through #5 by the end of the year!
